Recreation Plus Staff Bios

Hello! My name is Elaine Veksler. I was born in St.Petersburg, Russia and came to America at the age of 6. My father taught me how to play chess at a young age and I quickly developed a passion for the game. I started competing professionally in tournaments and reached the rank of being one of the top 100 women in the country. I'm USCF rated, certified chess coach and tournament director. I have many years of experience working with students of all ages, specializing in children. It is my goal to pass on my knowledge to my students and enrich their minds with the world's greatest board game.
